We had problems when the car wasn’t even a year old, got a new carb under warranty , as a plug in a drilling moved to where it wasn’t meant to be, ran fine straight away

hello, did the sierra type9 gearbox sitted on this engine right away, or you did some modifications on it? Also, did you modified the housing of the gearbox that sits on the engine? Im just going to swap my 2l pinto in sierra for a 2l Zetec engine (45mm dual carbureted, fast road cams, tubular headers etc)

Still a good job bud ...look damn good ... cant you clean the oven out ..treat the rust then paint it with VHT paint to avoid rust dropping and spoiling work you've done?

I had a 79 mk 1 from 1995 to 2001 it was a Spanish made and no rust except under battery tray.i got it for 50£ because that timing chain had worn a hole in the casing the owner was driving with virtually no oil .I fitted a new case and chain .after 6 years I had the engine changed by a local breaker but he took my new starter alternator and carb. It came back with a VV carb which never worked right .I sold on for 100 .it was FLO909T.i often wonder where it is now .

I had the same fault on my car other than the bearing noise . I changed the brake fluid and it's worked ever since
